Scrubber, purifier, oxi-cat, oxidation catalyst.
The brand name for a diesel oxidation converter manufactured by CleanAIR Systems. The ASSURE™ DOC uses a flow-through catalyst to reduce emissions from diesel exhaust.
Hydrocarbons - Greater than 90%
Carbon Monoxide – Greater than 90%
Particulate Matter – 20% to 50%
- Ceramic flow-through substrate
- Precious-metal based catalyst
- Corrosion-resistant 304L stainless steel
CleanAIR technical sales engineers make sure that every product is correctly sized to avoid backpressure problems. A correctly sized DOC will guarantee against a drop in emissions control efficiency, damage to the converter or damage to the engine. Sizing is determined by engine specifications provided by the customer.
Yes, systems are available in three levels of sound attenuation:
- Industrial Grade: 22 – 29 dBA
- Critical Grade: 27 – 35 dBA
- Super Critical Grade: 30 – 38 dBA
Critical and Super Critical Grade DOC silencer systems have double-walled construction and are fully insulated to meet strict sound attenuation requirements.
No. All engineering costs are part of the quoted price. There are no “hidden” fees.
No, unlike other more complex emissions control technologies, DOCs do not require electronic controls.
Emissions control products can be complicated depending on the application and technology required. CleanAIR custom designs each product package to user specifications such as the location of the inlet and outlet, offering easier installation. The easier the system is to install, the less cost will be required for installation. Usually DOCs are as easy to install as a regular muffler.
This is a rare occurrence, but it can happen with a very “dirty” engine or an engine with low exhaust temperatures. Many older 2-stroke engines produce a lot of particulate matter and may also have low exhaust temperatures that don’t allow the catalyst of the DOC to begin oxidation. Either of these two factors may cause a DOC to become plugged up with particulate.
Yes, all CleanAIR Systems include a product warranty.
No. Some manufacturers incorporate vanadium pentoxide within their catalysts. Vanadium pentoxide has been associated with certain health risks. CleanAIR uses no toxic substances in the manufacturing of their catalysts.
